ICU RN Job in Mesa, Arizona

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Banner Baywood Medical Center, located at 6644 E Baywood Ave in Mesa, Arizona. This is a travel assignment running 89 days, starting October 5, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

You'll work three 12-hour night shifts per week, earning $2,434 weekly. This schedule allows structured time off between your nursing shifts.

Your Role

As an ICU RN, you'll provide direct patient care and clinical leadership. Your responsibilities include:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural needs, and discharge planning
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data; report abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans based on patient-specific needs and medical directives
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care according to organizational policies and professional standards
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and revise patient care as needed
• Delegate and supervise licensed and non-licensed healthcare team members
• Evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching, adjusting the plan of care accordingly
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership and support education and orientation of personnel

Requirements

You must hold a current, valid RN license in Arizona. BLS certification is required. You'll need a minimum of one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting, with ICU experience within the past 12 months. A Bachelor's degree and professional certification are preferred. You must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and assisting patients with ambulating and transferring.
