About this role

You will work full-time days, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Mercyhealth Hospital and Medical Center in Walworth. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 1, 2026, with weekly compensation of $2,920.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation
  • Prepare patients for procedures, ensure they meet imaging requirements, and provide instruction to gain cooperation and minimize anxiety
  • Apply nuclear medicine safety principles to minimize risk to patient, self, and others
  • Operate nuclear medicine equipment and associated equipment to achieve desired clinical results
  • Position patients and equipment to best demonstrate anatomic areas of interest while respecting patient ability, safety, and comfort
  • Immobilize patients as required for appropriate examination
  • Select appropriate parameters based on established protocols and other factors influencing data acquisition
  • Perform venipuncture and start and maintain venous access
  • Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes, ensuring correct isotope and dose
  • Evaluate images and data for technical quality
  • Report and document nuclear medicine safety incidents and adverse events per protocol
  • Manipulate and process digital data for display with proper identification
  • Utilize radiology information systems including PACS; complete all required records and reports; archive and submit images for physician review
  • Document all information pertinent to nuclear medicine procedures in the electronic medical record, including medication reconciliation
  • Ensure patients receive discharge information regarding their exam
  • Order radiopharmaceuticals through vendor-specific protocol
  • Assist with PET services as needed

Required qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine program with education verification; CNMT or ARRT(N) certification; AHA BLS certification.
