Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job in Wausau, WI

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. You will perform general nuclear medicine studies in a fast-paced imaging environment, working day shifts with predictable scheduling.

Role and Responsibilities

• Perform bone scans, renal studies, HIDA, gastric emptying, thyroid, lymphoscintigraphy, cardiac, and parathyroid exams
• Operate Symbia Evo SPECT, Symbia Intevo SPECT/CT, Capintec Thyroid probe, and Siemens Biograph Vision X PET/CT Scanner
• Manage patient charting using Epic and Merge PACS systems
• Float to additional facility locations as assigned
• May be placed on call during low census periods with a 2-hour minimum callback

Schedule and Hours

• 5×8 day shifts, 8 hours per shift
• Start times between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM with occasional flexibility
• Variable days schedule with no weekend or holiday call rotation requirements
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week (hours not guaranteed during orientation week)
• Up to 36 hours of low census hours included in contract

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or certificate in nuclear medicine technology
• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience
• Current BLS certification and ARRT(N) or CNMT certification (AHA or ARC)
• Knowledge of SPECT/CT and/or PET/CT imaging required; training provided
• Charting experience with Epic and Merge PACS required; facility will provide training
• Siemens equipment experience is a plus

Assignment Details

• 13-week contract with start date July 20, 2026
• Weekly pay: $3,124
• Location: Wausau, Wisconsin
• Traveler must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
