Telemetry RN Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking an RN for a 117-day travel assignment in Telemetry, starting September 28, 2026. You will work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule that includes days, evenings, and nights, with blocked weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). This role offers $2,489 per week.

About the Role

You will provide specialized care to patients with complex neurological conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain Barré Syndrome, and other acute neurological diagnoses. As part of a Level 2 Neurology unit, you will monitor patients using telemetry technology and work closely with an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment. You may also support the facility's Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, where you will utilize continuous video EEG technology to assist in seizure evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor acute and complex neurological patients using telemetry systems
• Provide direct patient care and assessment in a specialized neurology setting
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and specialists in seizure management and neurological treatment
• Participate in holiday, on-call, callback, and charge shift duties as needed
• Work 48 hours per week on a rotational shift schedule

Requirements

• Valid New York RN license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Telemetry experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• NIHSS certification
