Telemetry RN Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY is seeking an RN for a Telemetry position on their Neurology unit. This is an 89-day travel assignment beginning November 9, 2026.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced neurology setting, caring for patients with stroke, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain Barré Syndrome, and other complex neurological conditions. You will work alongside an interdisciplinary team to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients, with particular focus on seizure management and monitoring.

Schedule and Compensation

This position offers a rotating shift schedule including days, evenings, and nights, working 3x12 shifts per week (48 hours at regular time). Weekend and holiday availability is required. You will earn $2,490 per week.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients using telemetry experience and state-of-the-art continuous video EEG technology
• Work in a Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
• Assume on-call and charge responsibilities as needed by unit needs
• Collaborate with specialty teams on patient evaluation and treatment plans

Requirements

• Active New York RN license (NY license only)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Telemetry experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• NIHSS certification
