Respiratory Therapist Job in Hilo, HI

Hilo Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for night shifts. This is a 15-week contract position running three 12-hour shifts per week.

Shift Details

• Night shift: 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Three 12-hour shifts weekly, totaling 36 hours
• No guarantee of hours

Your Responsibilities

• Provide continuous airway management for patients
• Manage and support ventilators and non-invasive ventilators
• Perform physician consulting, CPR, and all aspects of respiratory care
• Care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations
• Utilize computerized charting and Pyxis medication management systems
• Operate PB 980, PB 840 Ventilators, V60, and Para Pac Transport Vent equipment

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• State of Hawaii Respiratory Therapy License
• BLS certification
• PALS certification
• ACLS certification
• RRT preferred
• NRP preferred
• No first assignments accepted

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,423

Start date: October 26, 2026. Contract duration: 105 days.
