Respiratory Therapist Job in Honolulu, HI

Queen's Medical Center - Manamana in Honolulu, HI is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a 16-week travel assignment. You will work a rotating shift schedule with three twelve-hour shifts per week, guaranteeing 36 hours weekly.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive respiratory care across all patient populations, from neonates through adults. Your responsibilities include:

• Airway management and ABG sampling
• Oxygen therapy and ventilator management (conventional, BiLevel/APRV, and Independent Lung Ventilation)
• Noninvasive ventilation and high-flow oxygen therapy
• Proning and support during bronchoscopy, metabolic studies, and iNO therapy

You will work in diverse settings ranging from routine oxygen therapy on medical-surgical units to complex interventions in higher-acuity areas including the ED, OR, and ICUs. You may be floated to other areas within your skill set based on operational needs.

Qualifications Required:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Three years of consecutive full-time staff RT experience in all phases of respiratory therapy
• Minimum of two years acute care experience with adults, children, and newborns prior to travel assignments
• Current BLS/HCP, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• All licenses and certifications valid at application submission and throughout the contract duration

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in comparable size/type medical centers (500+ beds, Level 1 Trauma Center)

Contract Details:

Requested Time Off (RTO) during the initial contract is limited to a maximum of 7 days, Wednesday through Wednesday. Weekly pay is $2,483. Start date is November 9, 2026.
