PCU Registered Nurse Job in Morgantown, WV

Mon Health Medical Center seeks a Registered Nurse for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Morgantown, WV. This 13-week travel assignment offers 3x12 night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) with a weekly pay of $1,944.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a PCU setting, primarily managing adult and geriatric patients with cardiac diagnoses, including those recovering from cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology procedures. Your typical patient ratio will be 1:4, with flexibility to 1:5 during emergencies. You will be expected to interpret cardiac strips, manage dysrhythmias, initiate IV lines, and monitor telemetry systems.

Schedule & Requirements

• Work weekday and weekend night shifts with blocked schedules considered for Fri/Sat/Sun or Sat/Sun/Mon
• Weekend coverage is mandatory; holiday RTO requests limited to no more than 2 of 4 major holidays
• 8-hour orientation plus approximately 8 hours of non-billable modules required before your start date of July 6, 2026

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years RN experience with 2 years specifically in step-down care and 1 year in Med-Surg or Telemetry
• Current WV or Compact nursing license required
• BCLS and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• Ability to read cardiac strips and interpret dysrhythmias
• Two manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years

Facility Information

You will work within Mon Health Medical Center's electronic medical record system (Cerner). The facility requires burgundy and/or white scrubs, which are not provided. The assignment is 91 days with a possible extension.
