PCU Registered Nurse Job in Morgantown, WV

Mon Health Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a night shift role in a 36-bed unit serving adult and geriatric patients.

Position Details

• Shift: 3x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, weekdays with some weekends
• Patient ratio: typically 1:4, may flex to 1:5 during emergencies
• Duration: 13 weeks with possible extension
• Weekly pay: $2,592
• Start date: July 6, 2026

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a progressive care setting
• Perform IV starts and manage telemetry monitoring
• Read and interpret cardiac strips
• Chart in Cerner EMR system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team in a 36-bed unit with daily census of 34

Requirements

• Current RN license (WV or Compact License)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• 1 year of Med-Surg or Telemetry experience
• 2 years of Progressive Care Unit experience
• BCLS and ACLS certification through American Heart Association (AHA)
• Permanent address more than 100 miles from facility

Additional Information

• 8 hours of orientation provided
• Blocked schedules considered for weekend blocks only (Friday-Saturday-Sunday or Saturday-Sunday-Monday)
• Holiday RTO requests limited to no more than 2 of the 4 major holidays
• Burgundy and/or white scrubs required (not provided)
