CT Technologist Job in Southampton, NY

Stony Brook Southampton Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist to join the Radiology department. This is an 8-hour per week role with a duration of 89 weeks, starting November 9, 2026. You'll earn $3,138.56 weekly.

Schedule

Your primary schedule is 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday with a 30-minute break, working 3 days per week. Float day options are available: 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM, 12:00 PM to 9:30 PM (with 30-minute break), or overnight shifts. Total hours are 37.5 per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT scan imaging exams with proficiency and according to established policies and procedures
• Produce computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas as ordered
• Operate PACS system and related computer equipment
• Demonstrate proficiency with pediatric immobilization devices while adhering to safety precautions
• Prepare and enter written documentation including informed patient consent and patient chart entries
• Observe sterile and aseptic techniques when necessary
• Regularly check equipment, supplies, and accessories for proper functioning
• Assess physical needs of adult and geriatric patients
• Observe Bio-Safety and Radiation safety rules and regulations
• Complete requested examinations in a timely manner while maintaining radiation safety standards
• Address special needs of each age group and assist in making reasonable accommodations for patients with disabilities
• Work independently and unsupervised as needed

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of a program in Radiologic Technology
• NYSDOH License
• ARRT certification
