Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• 12-hour shifts with self-scheduling
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13-week contract; cancelled shifts must be the regular assigned shift length
• Maximum of 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract
• No on-call required
• Will float within service line to meet facility needs
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; will consider 1+ year with Level I/Teaching Facility experience
• First-time travelers accepted
• Telemetry required
• Care for adult patients in an ENT and Plastic Surgery unit
• Patient diagnoses include Cuffed/Cuffless Tracheostomies, Total Laryngectomies, Carotid Blow Out Precautions, and Free Flap patients
• Special procedures include Tracheostomy care, Total Laryngectomy care, Free Flap Monitoring, Drain Care, Tube Feeding, and Wound Care
• Equipment and skills include drain management, post-op flap monitoring, tracheostomy/total laryngectomy care, tube feeding, phlebotomy, IV access, and Central Line Management
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, BSN preferred
