Med Surg RN Job in Hermitage, TN

You'll work as a Registered Nurse on a 33-bed Medical Surgical unit at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, TN. This is a travel position offering a 91-day assignment starting October 12, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $1,568.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM day shifts)
• Location: 5th floor unit
• Every other weekend availability required

Unit Staffing & Support

• Patient ratios: 6:1 on day shifts and 7:1 on night shifts
• 3 nursing techs per shift
• Unit secretary support on day shift

Clinical Responsibilities

• IV management and medication administration
• Operation of Kangaroo pumps and sequential compression devices (SCDs)
• Patient assessment and direct care delivery
• Documentation using Meditech electronic health record system

Scheduling & Flexibility

• Floating to other appropriate areas in rotation as needed per unit staffing requirements
