Med Surg RN Job in Atlanta, GA

You will work as a Registered Nurse on a high-acuity medical-surgical floor at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, specializing in surgery and trauma care. This position offers you the opportunity to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, clinically demanding environment.

Role and Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to surgical, trauma, and complex patient populations including those with gunshot wounds, spinal cord injuries (quadriplegic and paraplegic patients)
• Manage a patient ratio of 5:1
• Work assigned night shifts with no block schedules available and no requested time off permitted
• Collaborate with ED nursing staff and admitting units during patient handoffs
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation and clinical workflows

Support and Resources

• Nursing support technicians available on unit
• Phlebotomists available on unit
• Unit secretary support during night shift

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• EPIC EMR system experience required

Assignment Details

• Shift: 3x12 Nights
• Duration: 88 weeks
• Start date: September 8, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,822
