ED RN Job in Winnebago, NE

Winnebago Comprehensive Healthcare System is seeking an experienced RN for night shifts in a 24/7 Emergency Department. You will work alongside physicians on duty at all times, providing direct patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assessing patients presenting for emergency care and triaging based on history, physical assessment, and chief complaint
• Providing comprehensive nursing care for acutely ill and critically ill patients
• Administering therapeutic measures prescribed by physicians, including medications, intravenous fluids, and blood transfusions
• Operating and monitoring specialized medical equipment
• Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Initiating patient education plans as prescribed
• Cleaning and bandaging wounds
• Recording all care information concisely, accurately, and efficiently in the appropriate documentation format

Requirements:

• Current, active, full, and unrestricted RN license
• At least 2 years of professional nursing experience; 1 year in an Emergency Department setting preferred
• Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or higher from an accredited professional nursing program
• Current certification or willingness to obtain ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP, and CPR
• Ability to lift 20–50 lbs and stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
• Ability to work with minimal to no supervision
• Fine motor skills and manual dexterity required
