About this role

CHI Health Lakeside is seeking an RN for its Emergency Department in Omaha, NE. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting September 28, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,382.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting with 18 beds and trauma bays. Your patient ratio will be 1:4–5 depending on acuity. You'll manage patients across all age groups presenting with common diagnoses including chest pain, abdominal pain, cough and congestion, orthopedic injuries, ENT emergencies, behavioral health, sepsis, and stroke. You will administer common drips including antibiotics, narcotics, anti-emetics, vaccines, and emergency medications.

Schedule and Shift Details

You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week, with shift options including 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, 11:00 AM–11:00 PM, 3:00 PM–3:00 AM, and 7:00 PM–7:00 AM. Your specific schedule will be determined by leadership based on departmental needs. Every other weekend is required. There are no floating requirements, and a charge nurse is present on each shift.

Requirements and Credentials

You must hold a valid driver's license and possess a minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, NIHSS, and HSS Team (workplace violence training). You will receive two orientation shifts for unit and department-specific training.

Work Environment and Technology

The facility uses EPIC for charting and Alaris IV pumps. You will utilize TeleHealth with a focus on purposeful rounding. Navy blue scrubs are required, and artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments.
