ED Registered Nurse Job in Hebron, NE

Thayer County Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week on a 3x12 night shift schedule. The assignment runs for 91 days, beginning September 21, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,205.

Your responsibilities include:

• Provide direct nursing care in the Emergency Department, observing and recording patient signs and symptoms
• Administer sterile treatments and assist with patient examinations
• Prepare, administer, and document oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous medications using barcode scanning in the electronic health system
• Monitor IV sites, manage flow rates, and discontinue IVs as needed
• Support physicians, nurses, and other staff members in delivering total patient care
• Perform selected procedures and therapeutic treatments within your scope of practice
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records and transcribe physician orders
• Observe and report general and specific physical and mental conditions of patients to appropriate personnel
• Participate in nursing care plans in accordance with physician instructions and established standards
• Assist in training and orientation of new employees
• Participate in Quality Assurance committees, in-service programs, meetings, and educational workshops

Required qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current valid state nursing license
• Current CPR, ACLS, TNCC, NRP, and STABLE certifications
• Strong communication skills
