Med Surg RN Job in Chattanooga, TN

You'll join Parkridge Medical Center's 26-bed Orthopedic/Spine unit (5 East) as a traveling RN on a 3x12 day shift schedule, working 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. This is a 91-day assignment starting August 3, 2026, offering $1,813.32 weekly.

Your role centers on direct patient care for orthopedic and spine surgery patients. You'll manage a 6:1 patient ratio and perform core nursing responsibilities including post-operative monitoring, pain management, mobility assistance, and discharge planning. You'll gain hands-on experience with procedures such as knee and hip replacements and multi-level spine surgeries.

Unit Environment

• Work alongside unit secretaries, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and Navigators who provide daily support
• Use Meditech for electronic documentation
• Operate specialized equipment including coolers, walkers, sequential compression devices (SCDs), and continuous passive motion machines (CPMs)
• 4 weekend shifts per schedule as required; floating policy includes unit rotation
