Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Every 3rd weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 30-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Patient types include hip/knee, mastectomies, and abdominal surgeries
• Experience with drips including PCA and Heparin required
• Will float across all campuses as needed
• 24 months of Medical Surgical experience in a hospital or medical center setting required
• Post-operative surgical experience highly preferred
• Patient care experience with hip/knee, mastectomies, and abdominal surgeries highly preferred
• PCA and Heparin experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Required certification: BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Iowa nursing license required - must be active or compact/multistate at time of submission
• Skills checklist specific to Medical Surgical or Medical Surgical/Telemetry required
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred
• Driver's license required
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless unit is closed
