Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend coverage every other weekend, may change based on need
• Floating to other units required if needed
• Contract option available for 13 to 26 weeks
• 2 years of experience in field required; first-time travelers must have 3 years of experience within specialty
• 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Patients served include adults and geriatrics
• Patient diagnoses include CAD S/P CABG, Cardiac Valve Repair, Lung Cancer S/P VATS, and Esophageal Cancer
• Must pass EKG exam prior to start
• Must have arrhythmia certification and experience with post-surgical cardiovascular patients
• Cardiac drips and insulin drip experience required
• Required skills include blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care and management, heparin protocols, interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of cardiac drips, management of dysrhythmias, pacemaker management, PCA, peripheral and PICC line care, pre and post cardiac cath, pre and post cardiac surgery, telemetry monitoring, and titration of cardiac and insulin drips
• Medication system used is Omnicell
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, arrhythmia certification, and SC RN license
