PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Mixed unit position covering PCU, Med Surg Tele, and Med Surg
• Patient ratio of 1:4 on all shifts
• Every other weekend required; night shift weekends are Friday and Saturday, day shift weekends are Saturday and Sunday
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Epic charting experience required
• Scrub color: Navy or White
• Floating within service line required, including between Toledo, Flower, Bay Park, and Wildwood facilities as needed
• Float units include: Neuro/Stroke, Cardiac, Orthopedic, Trauma, Oncology, General Surgery, Uro/Vascular, and Observation
• Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics
• Patient diagnoses include Renal, Urology, and Vascular conditions
• Special procedures include CAPD and CBI
• Work setting includes telemetry monitoring
• Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, peripheral line care and management, renal failure management, nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway management
• Heparin protocol experience preferred
• Pre/Post hemodialysis management preferred
• No block scheduling available
• Schedules are subject to change with two-week notice given by the facility
• Requested time off greater than 7 days requires management approval
