PCU RN Job in Round Rock, TX

You will work as an RN in the Progressive Care Unit at Round Rock Medical Center, a 34-bed intermediate care setting on the 5th floor. This is a 13-week contract assignment with 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three days per week. Weekend availability and call requirements are part of this role.

Your clinical responsibilities include managing a patient ratio of 4:1 and performing typical unit procedures such as emergent chest tube placement, Midlines or PICCs insertion, and emergent bedside bronchoscopy. You will operate bedside monitors, glucometers, dopplers, standing scales, wheelchairs, and Hoyer lifts. You will work alongside a team of 9 nurses and 4 patient care technicians per shift, emphasizing collaboration and teamwork.

Requirements and Certifications:

• Current RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NIHHS certification
• Preferred certifications: CATN, TCAR, or TCCN

Navy blue scrub tops and pants are required. You must be teamwork oriented and comfortable working in a structured intermediate care environment with established protocols and interdisciplinary support.
