Med Surg RN Job in Bronx, NY

St. Barnabas Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for the Medical-Surgical unit in Bronx, NY. You will work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including every other weekend and holiday rotation. This is a 94-day travel assignment beginning August 26, 2026, with weekly compensation of $1,972.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop individualized plans of care through patient and family interviews, health record reviews, and assessment of physical, cultural, religious, and psychosocial needs including discharge planning
• Initiate appropriate emergency measures when a physician is not immediately available, including resuscitative measures for cardiac or respiratory arrest
• Administer therapeutic measures as prescribed by the physician, including medications, IV therapy, and respiratory therapy
• Plan, provide, and document patient and family education on preventative, curative, and rehabilitative measures
• Record observations, nursing interventions, therapeutic measures administered, and status of coordinated care activities
• Evaluate patient progress toward care outcomes and update the plan of care accordingly
• Provide technical guidance, delegation, and direction to other registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and unlicensed personnel
• Assume oversight for patient care administered by licensed practical nurses and unlicensed personnel
• May be required to float to other Med Surg units as needed

Requirements:

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• BLS certification
• Epic EMR experience
• Scrub color required: Ceil Blue
• Commitment to maintain knowledge and competency reflecting current nursing practice and promote professional growth
