Telemetry RN Job in Orangeburg, SC

MUSC Health Orangeburg is seeking a Registered Nurse for Telemetry to join the Med-Surg Telemetry unit. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 28, 2026.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6

Role Responsibilities

You will care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, seizure, CVA, TIA, and chronic respiratory disease. Key clinical skills include cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, central line and PICC line care, heparin protocols, tracheostomy care, pre- and post-cardiac catheterization care, cardiac drip management, and wound care including wound vac management.

You may float within scope to meet facility needs or between like units and sister facilities as needed.

Requirements

• Current South Carolina or Compact license (must be in hand prior to start)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
• Telemetry competency required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• First-time travelers accepted
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred

Facility Details

The unit uses Epic for charting and requires royal blue scrubs. Free on-site parking is available. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $1,814.40.
