ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 36 hours per week offered
• Contracts accepted between 20-26 weeks only
• No block scheduling
• Patient ratios of 1:3-5 with approximately 250 visits per day across 101 beds
• Minimum of 4 weekend days per 6-week time track, up to every other weekend required
• Floating is required between Emergency Observation Unit and Emergency Behavioral Health based on greatest need
• Must hold takes are required
• 24-hour unit orientation
• Scrubs: Navy/White
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required skills: IV start, triage, and telemetry
• Additional skills: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV vasopressors
• Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Unit systems include Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR, and daily shift huddles
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH/NIHSS, PALS, MOAB, CPI, TNCC
• North Carolina or Compact license required
• RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite
