Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 4x12 or 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Schedule includes weekdays and weekends with 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
• 34-bed med/surg unit with telemetry
• Patient ratios of 1:5-7
• Patient population consists of adults with a wide range of acute medical conditions
• Daily census of approximately 30 patients
• Charting system: Cerner
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Skills required include: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care/management, chest tube management, CVA care, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, PCA management, peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, pre/post cardiac cath, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure care, starting and maintaining IVs, surgical drains, telemetry and remote monitoring, tracheostomy care/management, use of rapid response/code teams, and wound care/wound vac
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• No call required
• Facility allows a maximum of 2-3 call-offs per contract
