Certified Surgical Technologist Job in Pittsburgh, PA

You will work as a Certified Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a 90-day travel assignment beginning September 28, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,176.

Schedule and Logistics

• 3x12 evening shifts
• Rotating shifts including days, evenings, and nights
• Call and weekend requirements are mandatory with a 30-minute response time
• In-house call rooms are available for use
• No block scheduling available
• Weekends include Friday, Saturday, or Sunday shifts; you may have up to 3 weekend call shifts in 6 weeks
• Saturday call: 24 hours (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM)
• Sunday call: 16 hours (7:00 AM – 11:00 PM)
• Additional night shifts may occur on Friday nights

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of OR experience in the last 3 years (preferably 3 years)
• Level 1 Trauma experience required (at least 1 year out of the last 3 years)
• Minimum 1 year of travel experience in the last 3 years
• Proficiency or expert-level knowledge in General surgery
• Strong Orthopedic experience required; total joints mandatory
• Neurosurgery experience required (Craniotomy and Spine mandatory)
• Vascular surgery experience required
• Trauma surgery experience required
• DaVinci Robotics experience required; must be able to perform Cardiac procedures including arm movement and draping
• Transplant experience preferred but not mandatory
• You cannot be a previous regular employee of this facility

You will bring diverse surgical expertise to a Level 1 Trauma center, working alongside an experienced OR team in a fast-paced academic medical environment.
