Telemetry RN Job in Grass Valley, CA

You will work as a Registered Nurse on the Telemetry unit at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital in Grass Valley, California. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting October 27, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $2,016.

Shift and Schedule

• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week, starting at 6:45 AM with bedside report
• Every other weekend requirement
• Rotate holidays with core staff; travelers work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years)
• Self-scheduling available with schedules posted 4 weeks in advance
• Overtime and extra shifts available

Unit Details

• Telemetry unit with 14 South and 8 East beds
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• First to float; may float to Med/Surg and Telemetry
• Care for cardiac-focused patients including stable non-titrating Cardizem, Amio, and Heparin, plus general overflow patients
• Must read and interpret EKG strips
• No ventilators required

Orientation and Support

• 1–2 day floor orientation with preceptor
• Hospitalist or Intensivist in house
• Respiratory Therapy and Pharmacy available 24/7
• Charting system: Cerner

Requirements and Certifications

• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Must pass the Dysrhythmia Exam (Basic) through UNA prior to acceptance
• Scrub color: Navy; under shirts must be navy, white, or black; scrub jackets optional but must be navy
• Flexible team member who can adapt to unit needs
