Med Surg RN Job in Utica, NY

You'll work as a Registered Nurse on a 64-bed Medical Surgical Stroke Stepdown unit at MVHS Inc. in Utica, NY. This is a travel position with an 89-day duration, starting August 24, 2026.

Schedule and Shift Details

• 3 twelve-hour day shifts per week, 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Block scheduling is not guaranteed
• Floating to other units is required
• Navy Blue scrubs required

Role and Responsibilities

You will care for adult patients with a range of diagnoses including stroke, altered mental status, renal conditions, dialysis needs, COPD, CHF, isolation cases, general medical-surgical conditions, pneumonia, and pulmonary issues. You'll work with specialty equipment including IV pumps, nasogastric tubes, and feeding tubes.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Med Surg with stroke stepdown experience
• Travel healthcare experience required
• AHA BLS certification required
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification required—this can be obtained prior to your start date if needed
• Skills checklist matching specialty required

Compensation

You'll receive $2,348 per week.
