ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work in a 34-bed Emergency Department with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Patient population is a mixture of various acuity levels
• Experience with drips and titrations required
• Scrub colors: Black, Navy Blue, Caribbean Blue (solids only)
• Float to Marion ED freestanding campus as needed
• Every fourth weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 24 months of Emergency Room/Emergency Department experience required
• Must have completed a travel contract within the previous 18 months
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Required certifications: TNCC, BLS (AHA), NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA)
• Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
• De-escalation certification preferred (CPI, MAB, MOAB, or SAMA accepted); must be obtained during onboarding if not currently certified
• NIH Stroke Scale certificate required; can be obtained during onboarding
• Skills checklist specific to Emergency Room/Emergency Department required
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
• Must be willing to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming Winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's)
