Oncology RN Job in Dallas, TX

Medical City Dallas is seeking a travel RN for a 98-day assignment on our 41-bed Oncology unit located on floors 9/10 South in the South Tower. You will work a day shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, 7 AM to 7 PM.

About the Role

You will provide direct patient care on a dedicated oncology floor with consistent staffing patterns. Day shift teams include one charge nurse, up to five RNs, and two PCTs per floor. Patient ratios are maintained at 4:1, with a maximum of 5:1. You will work a rotating weekend schedule as part of your assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care to oncology patients with general medical oncology knowledge
• Perform daily blood and electrolyte replacement and monitor lab values
• Execute sterile dressing changes with strong infection prevention protocols
• Manage patients with ports and central lines
• Document patient care using Meditech EMR
• Operate Baxter infusion pumps safely and accurately
• Work collaboratively with nursing and support staff on all shifts

Requirements

You must hold a current RN license, BLS certification, and ACLS certification. Experience or familiarity with oncology nursing, ports, and central lines is preferred. A solid understanding of blood and electrolyte replacement protocols is essential. You will wear royal blue scrubs monogrammed with the hospital name and hospital-approved jackets.

Assignment Details
