Oncology RN Job in Dallas, TX

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 91-day travel assignment on the Oncology unit. You'll work day shifts (7 AM–7 PM) on a 3x12 schedule, with Tuesday starts required. This role offers $1,522 weekly pay and provides concrete clinical experience in medical oncology care.

Unit Overview

• 41-bed Oncology unit located on floors 9 and 10 South in the South Tower
• Day shift team: 1 charge nurse, up to 5 RNs, and 2 PCTs per floor
• Night shift team: 1 charge nurse, up to 5 RNs, and 1 PCT per floor
• Patient ratios of 4:1, with a maximum of 5:1
• Rotating weekend schedule required; no on-call responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care within oncology protocols
• Perform daily blood and electrolyte replacement procedures
• Execute sterile dressing changes with strong infection prevention practices
• Manage ports and central lines (familiarity preferred)
• Operate Baxter infusion pumps
• Document and communicate within the Meditech EMR system

Required Qualifications

• RN license in good standing
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Solid understanding of blood and electrolyte replacement protocols
• General Medical Oncology knowledge preferred
• Team-centered approach to patient care

Workplace Details

You will wear royal blue scrubs monogrammed with the hospital name and hospital-approved jackets. The assignment runs for 91 days, starting September 22, 2026.
