Med Surg RN Job in St Johnsbury, VT

Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital is seeking a Med Surg RN for a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 2, 2026. You will work a flexible day/night rotation with 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Assignment Details

• Weekly pay: $2,207.52
• Flex shift rotation
• Starts on a Wednesday; 48-hour contracts guarantee 36 hours during orientation week due to midweek start
• Opportunity to serve as Charge RN when needed

Role

You will primarily care for adult medical and surgical patients, with occasional pediatric admissions. This is not a dedicated pediatric unit. Your scope includes medical, surgical, observation, swing bed, and outpatient care. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the Nursing Process. You'll address physiological, psychosocial, spiritual, and developmental needs across the lifespan, and collaborate with providers, nursing leadership, and support staff to ensure safe, high-quality care.

Requirements

• Current Vermont RN license or Compact Multi-State RN license
• Minimum 3 years of recent acute care RN experience
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification
• ACLS (American Heart Association) certification
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Meditech experience preferred
