Med/Surg RN Job in St Johnsbury, VT

Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for a night shift position on the Medical/Surgical unit. You will work 3x12 hour shifts serving primarily adult patients, with occasional pediatric patients. This is not a dedicated pediatric floor.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide comprehensive medical and surgical nursing care using the Nursing Process for clinical decision-making
• Support patients across multiple care settings: inpatient, outpatient, observation, and swing bed services
• Deliver holistic care addressing patients' physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs
• Collaborate with the Clinical Nurse Lead and Nursing Supervisor during your shifts

Qualifications:

• Current Vermont RN licensure or multi-state RN licensure
• Minimum 3 years of acute care experience
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification
• ACLS certification
• Meditech experience preferred

Important details:

You will start on a Wednesday as a traveler. If you are on a 48-hour contract, you will be guaranteed 36 hours during your orientation week due to your midweek start date. The assignment runs 91 days beginning October 15, 2026. You will earn $2,452 weekly.

Reliable personal transportation is essential, as public transportation and rideshare services are not available in the St Johnsbury area. This position is not appropriate for nurses seeking exclusively pediatric experience.
