PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Schedule options of 3x12s or 4x12s available
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5 for adults and geriatric populations
• May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Telemetry competency required
• Experience with special equipment required including BiPAP, Cardizem drip, Amiodarone drip, Cardene drip, and Nitro drip
• Charting performed in Epic
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• Parking at no cost
• Patient diagnoses include respiratory, cardiac, and neurological conditions
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks for guaranteed hours
• Block schedule accommodations may be requested prior to assignment but are not guaranteed
• Schedules must be flexible to fill the needs of the unit
