Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Neuro

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 36 or 48 hours per week accepted
• Contracts of 13-26 weeks accepted
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Every other weekend required
• Must be able to work holidays - required to work 2 of 3 major holidays
• No more than 7 days of RTO - no RTO during first week and must be pre-approved
• Float required within and near facility
• This is a Neuro unit - neuro experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First time travelers accepted
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• NIHSS preferred
• Required skills include: CVA management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, med/surg, telemetry, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care/management, and starting and maintaining IVs
• Unit systems include Pyxis for medication, EPIC for documentation, and SBAR for communication
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Contract staff may be assigned to a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty situations, or disasters
