ICU Registered Nurse Job in Utica, NY

MVHS Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in our Intensive Care Unit located in Utica, NY. This is a 12-week position beginning October 5, 2026.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12 night shifts, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekly pay: $2,556
• Duration: 89 days
• Facility: 42-bed ICU with East (20 beds) and West (22 beds) wings, including Neuro/Med, CTICU, and Surg/Trauma units

Role Responsibilities

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced critical care environment. Floating to other units is required, except Behavioral and ER (unless on holding status). Scrub color is navy.

Patient populations include those with strokes, sepsis, altered mental status, respiratory failure, congestive heart failure, post-STEMI events, cardiogenic shock, abdominal aortic aneurysm, and trauma.

Required Experience and Credentials

• Minimum 2 years ICU experience (4–5 years preferred)
• Travel healthcare experience required
• CRRT (PRISMA or NxStage) experience required
• Heart experience highly preferred and prioritized by manager
• Proficiency with specialty equipment: IABP, ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and TTM (Arctic Sun)
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Active New York RN license with NURSYS verification
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Skills checklist matching specialty required
