ED RN Job in Longview, TX

CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Medical Center Longview is seeking a registered nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 17, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• 3 days per week, 12-hour night shifts (8:00 PM to 8:00 AM)
• Weekend requirement: 6 days per 6-week schedule period
• Weekly pay: $2,033

Your Role

You will practice independently in the emergency department, providing routine and complex nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. You will address the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Your responsibilities include administering medications and treatments according to protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness, documenting patient history and symptoms, and assessing learning needs to provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers. You will also make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in Texas or compact license
• BLS certification (AHA only)
• ACLS certification (AHA only)
• PALS certification (AHA only)
• TNCC certification
• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
