ED Registered Nurse Job in Brownwood, TX

Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 21, 2026, offering 4x12-hour night shifts at $2,431 weekly.

Shift Details

• 12-hour night shifts, scheduled 4 days per week
• Fourth shift may run 12:00 PM–12:00 AM or 11:00 AM–11:00 PM
• Option to work 36 hours per week
• 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (Saturday and/or Sunday)
• One on-call shift required per 6-week schedule
• Self-scheduling available

Clinical Environment

• Daily census of approximately 70 patients across 15 rooms and 18 beds
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Treats all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Allscripts/Altera charting system (experience preferred but not required)

Support Services

• Interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years emergency nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC

• IV insertion and maintenance
• Dysrhythmia interpretation
• Blood product administration
• Arterial line and chest tube management
• Procedural sedation and intubation assistance
• 12-lead EKG/ECG acquisition
