Emergency Department RN Job in Midland, TX

Midland Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its 42-bed Emergency Department. This is a 12 to 14 week contract position running through January 9th, 2027, offering three 12-hour night shifts per week at $2,229.12 weekly.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of emergency room experience in an ER of equivalent size; 5 to 8 years preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and NRP certifications (willingness to obtain if not yet held)
• Experience treating all patient age groups from neonates through geriatrics
• Level II or Level III trauma experience required

Clinical Skills:

You will manage a diverse patient population with a daily census of 200. Key competencies include triage, IV placement and maintenance, 12-lead EKG/ECG interpretation, dysrhythmia recognition and management, BiPAP/CPAP support, care of ventilated patients, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, blood product administration, chest tube management, and IV vasopressor administration. You will care for patients presenting with trauma, psychiatric holds, suicidal ideation, seizures, drug overdose, head injuries, burns, gunshot wounds, and multisystem organ dysfunction.

Support:

The department provides interdisciplinary collaboration including respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary support. Cerner charting system experience is preferred.
