RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Weekend requirements include 3-4 Saturday/Sunday days, 2 Fridays, and 2 Mondays in a 4-week schedule period
• Holiday requirements include coverage for one of each major holiday pairing (Black Friday or Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, New Year's Eve or New Year's Day)
• Self-scheduling available through Kronos with flexibility for block scheduling
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Unit consists of 32 beds total - 22 stepdown beds and 10 floor beds
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: Stepdown 1:3 and Floor 1:5 or 1:6
• Care for cardiology, heart failure, cardiac surgery, and med-surg patient populations
• Cardiac experience preferred
• Required to titrate drips including heparin, insulin, nitro, Cardizem, nicardipine, Lasix, amiodarone, and dobutamine
• RT equipment includes nasal cannula, CPAP, BiPAP, HFNC, and trach to vent
• Philips telemonitoring system with dedicated tele techs monitoring and recording strips
• Charting system: EPIC
• Traveler will be first to float if needed, with rotational pull to floor assignment approximately 1 out of every 3 shifts
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• BSN not required
• Any license hits must be disclosed at time of submission
