Med Surg RN Job in Utica, NY

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is recruiting a Registered Nurse for a Medical/Surgical unit at MVHS Inc. in Utica, NY. This is an 89-day travel nursing assignment beginning November 2, 2026.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care on a Med Surg unit, working three 12-hour night shifts per week from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. You will care for adult patients with diagnoses including post-surgical recovery, abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and bariatric surgery cases. Your scrubs should be navy blue.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care across the Med Surg patient population
• Manage specialty equipment including IV pumps, nasogastric tubes, and feeding tubes
• Float to other units as needed
• Document patient care in the Epic EMR system
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary care teams

Requirements

• Current active New York RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Epic EMR proficiency
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Skills checklist matching Med Surg specialty

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,309.75. Please note that block scheduling is never promised or guaranteed.
