CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts Friday through Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• On-call requirement of 2-3 call shifts per month
• Holiday requirement per unit needs
• Local candidates only
• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans, strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure patient comfort
• Insert IVs when necessary for testing
• Position patients accordingly, including lifting or moving patients with limited mobility using safe patient handling techniques
• Maintain accurate patient record keeping by documenting all necessary components within EPIC, identifying images, and ensuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
• Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association only)
• NYS licensure required prior to start, including injection therapy certification stated on license at time of submission
• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology and maintained certification through ARRT required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• Siemens scanner experience required (minimum 6 months)
• Telemetry required
• Epic experience highly desired (1 year preferred)
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred
• Injection certification preferred - must be willing to complete during orientation process
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Must demonstrate a patient and compassionate disposition
• Must be a team player capable of maintaining a cohesive working environment
