Sterile Processing Technician Job in Orangeburg, SC

MUSC Health Orangeburg is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician for a 91-day travel assignment starting October 6, 2026.

Role and Schedule

• Work 5x8 shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
• Rotating weekend schedule required
• On-call requirement: all technicians participate in call rotation at least once every two months, with call running Saturday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM
• Facility may call off one shift per two-week period

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience required
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Level I trauma center experience required
• Demonstrated expertise in sterilization, decontamination, assembly/wrap, and scope reprocessing
• Case experience preferred in neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN procedures

Skills and Certifications

• Proficiency with acute hospital OR operations, scope and probe reprocessing, and assembly of sets and trays
• Current CBSPD and/or IAHCSMM/HSPA certification required
• Familiarity with Epic charting system
