CT Technologist Job in Richmond, VA

Childrens Hospital of Richmond at VCU is seeking a CT Technologist to join the imaging team. You will work in a CT scanner located in the Emergency Department, serving emergency and inpatient populations across all age groups, from neonates through geriatric patients.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12 days per week
• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: October 26, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,606

Your Role

You will perform CT and X-ray multimodality imaging, with potential to float to the main hospital location within scope as needed. You will work with diverse patient populations in high-acuity settings including Level I Trauma, Emergency Department, NICU, PICU, and Adult ICU environments.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 1 year CT/X-ray experience; 2 years preferred
• Proficiency in abdomen, brain perfusion, chest, head, pelvis, thoracic, and transplant studies
• Competency in CT arthrography, colonography, multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), and PACS
• Experience with contrast media preparation and administration
• Ability to start peripheral IVs
• Siemens equipment proficiency required
• EPIC charting experience required

Required Certifications and Credentials

• ARRT (R) certification
• ARRT Advanced Certification
• BLS certification
• VA or compact state license (must be current at time of application)

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN degree
