About the Role

You will perform a wide range of CT studies including head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and spine imaging with and without contrast. Your work will encompass brain perfusion, vascular CTA, CT arthrography, colonography, musculoskeletal trauma, and transplant studies. You will prepare and administer contrast media, start peripheral IVs, and support patients across all age groups—from neonates and infants through pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. You will work within the NICU, PICU, Adult ICU, and Emergency Department as needed, floating within your scope when required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience required; 2+ years of Siemens experience preferred
  • Must not have been away from the Siemens platform for more than 1 year
  • Level I Trauma experience required
  • ARRT (R)(CT) certification required

  • Epic charting experience required
  • Proficiency with PACS and McKesson systems
  • Natural nail policy enforced

What to Expect

You will receive a two-week training period to understand workflows, systems, and points of contact before working independently. VCU Medical Center is a Level I Trauma facility, and you will be expected to deliver efficient, accurate imaging in a fast-paced environment that serves diverse patient populations. Your experience with Siemens equipment and Epic will be essential to your success in this role.
