Med Surg RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

You'll work as an RN on a 60-bed Med Surg unit at Mercy Hospital South in Saint Louis, MO. This is a 13-week travel assignment with nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week. You'll earn $2,115 weekly.

Role Details

• Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for all age groups
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information
• Work with equipment including bladder scanner, vein finder, IV pumps, and wound vacs
• Typical patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6 on the unit
• Float as needed to similar or lower acuity units

Schedule & Hours

• Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Weekly guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 (specify on submission form)
• Night shift staff orient on day shift—you must be available the entire week for orientation

Requirements

• Current RN license; must be eligible for Missouri licensure or currently licensed in Missouri
• 1 year of Med Surg inpatient experience
• BLS certification from AHA (required)
• ACLS certification from AHA (preferred)
• Black scrubs only
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system
