Telemetry RN Job in Glendale, CA

You'll work 3x12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM) on the telemetry unit at Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center, with an every-other-weekend requirement. This is a 91-day contract starting December 7, 2026, paying $1,926 weekly.

Your role:

• Monitor and care for cardiac, CHF, chest pain, pneumonia, respiratory, and sepsis patients
• Read and interpret telemetry strips independently
• Titrate drips including heparin as needed
• Manage a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio (1:3 on 6 North)
• Chart in Cerner

Unit details:

• Three telemetry units: Tele I, Tele II, and 6 North
• Patient Care Techs available 1–2 per shift depending on census
• Monitor techs present on all three units
• Travelers float first; Tele I and II nurses may float to Med-Surg or Rehab; 6N nurses float to ICU/CCU only
• 6N placement requires minimum 2 years CCU or high-end step-down experience; telemetry experience preferred
• Respiratory therapy maintains vents on 6N; vent experience not required

What you need:

• Current RN license
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and EKG interpretation certifications
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Comfort with drip titration
• Strong customer service and team skills

Schedule and expectations:

• No on-call or standby requirement
• Must be available to work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Modified self-scheduling available depending on unit staffing needs; no block scheduling
• 3-shift unit orientation provided
• Navy scrubs required
