CT Technologist Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist for a travel assignment in Rochester, NY. You will work Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM EST, on a 10-hour shift schedule. This is a 117-day assignment starting September 14, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,607.

Your Responsibilities:

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating CT scans
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation
• Position patients appropriately, including safe patient handling techniques for those with limited mobility
• Insert IVs when necessary for contrast injection during testing
• Coordinate with physicians to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging
• Maintain accurate patient records in EPIC, documenting all necessary components
• Properly identify images and ensure correct transfer to the PACS system upon exam completion
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
• Respond to on-call and callback responsibilities as needed
• Provide holiday and occasional weekend coverage as required

Required Qualifications:

• Completion of formal training from an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Current certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• NYS licensure with injection therapy certification at time of submission
• Minimum two years of CT technologist experience
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Patient and compassionate demeanor
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens CT equipment
