ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call required
• May float within scope to meet facility needs
• Patient ratios based on acuity with 4 patients per nurse on days, nights, and weekends
• Self-scheduling type
• 2+ years of emergency room experience required; first-time travelers accepted with ER experience
• South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (American Heart Association only)
• Preferred certifications: CPI and TNCC
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• Charting system: Epic (preferred experience)
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Required skills include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA management, general emergency department combined adult/pediatric care, gunshot wounds, head injury, ABG interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions/PPE, IV vasopressors, neuro-trauma, ortho trauma, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, spinal cord injury, starting and maintaining IVs, traumatic amputation, traumatic brain injury, and triage
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Facility guarantees hours with allowance to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Block scheduling available with manager approval upon request
