OT - Therapy Rehab Acute Care

Job Details:

• Work in an acute care setting providing occupational therapy support in the ICU for LVAD and heart transplant patients
• Every 4th weekend shift required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Patient ratio of 1:8 during day shifts
• Daily census of 8 patients with up to 8 visits per day
• Treat adult and geriatric patient populations
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract; all time off must be finalized at time of submission
• Expected to work major holidays that fall within the assignment period
• Required certifications: BLS, NBCOT
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Required skills include: acute care, cardiac rehabilitation, electrical stimulation, feeding techniques, TENS, ultrasound, hand injury, hip fracture and total hip replacement, knee injuries and total knee replacement, splinting (dynamic, functional, static, serial/inhibitory), prosthetics (above and below knee, upper extremity), activities of daily living, lifting and transfer, safety and injury prevention, ICU experience, and LVAD/heart transplant experience
